Tampa Bay, FL

Hey Y'all,

Thanks for all the support, here is what we have been up to. Once leaving Roswell, Georgia we headed south for warmer weather. We arrived in Tampa Bay, and immediately started serving on Wednesday the 9th. We served in Tampa Bay for three days, and had some pretty awesome experiences in the three days.

The wheels on the bus

Hello! – Kyle here

After many weeks of anticipating an incredible journey, we have finally hit the road! We left Calvin College Thursday morning in high spirits, surrounded by a few of our closest friends. We became comfortable in our new home very quickly and we absolutely love life on the road; taking it easy in the right lane, semi’s flying by us, learning trucker language (involving turn signals, not bad language), and especially getting frequent stares and questions about the LOST bus mission. We found our home in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Bowling Green, Kentucky around 12 Thursday last night. I was expecting a good nights sleep, but got a 20 degree nap instead. Even so, I had plenty of excitement to keep me awake for the day ahead.

The Ripple

As I search out a cafe in Istanbul to catch up on the bus progress via whimsical wifi (how does that stuff work?), the weight of this project sinks in. The Lost Bus was once a dream that the OG crew took on and with the grace of God, became a reality. On a journey to discover the size of this world today, in so many ways it lead me to ponder the importance of what we all do here. When thinking of the epic project cleverly titled "the Lost Bus," I am thrilled that I poured myself into it and answered the calling that seemed to be a long shot at first.
